Nottingham or Liverpool GEM A101 2014 entry...?

If you had offers from both, which one do you think would be better?

Nottingham has a big intake (91), so one would expect more of a social life there (well, with people your own age at least). (This notion is somewhat confirmed by looking at the difference in replies between the Nottingham A101 2014 thread and the Liverpool A101 2014 thread!) The course is well-respected and well established. However, it is based on PBL for the most part, which I am not entirely sold on.

Liverpool has a tiny intake (29), so one would expect limited social life, but the course is traditional teaching which is a plus if you like to learn things systematically. Having said that, the course only switched from PBL to traditional this year, so 2014 intake candidates are guinea-pigs in some respects; the course isn't established yet.

I expect the general consensus would be that Liverpool as an area wins out on Derby - but I suspect on the A101 course you'll be too busy with studying to go outside anyway so it probably doesn't matter a great deal.

Which would you pick?
