How long would quorn cocktail sausages last if they weren't in the fridge?

Planning for my duke of edinburgh expedition :smile:

Would they last any longer than a day, or do they need to be refrigerated?

Eesh I'd be careful! They don't tend too nice after being out of the fridge for a while... Maybe a day if you're lucky.

Not too long before they start to taste funny.

Some people have odd reactions to Quorn as it is; I'm not sure if keeping them out of the fridge would make this worse.

Are you vegetarian? If not, cooked meats like tuna, spam, corned beef, smoked/dried meats, etc work really well.

Personally, I'd have regular sausages and bacon that have been in my rucksack for a few days, but I have a good immune system. I wouldn't say it's worth finding out whether you do have a good immune system or not if it means not being able to finish your DofE expedition, and I say that as a DofE Leader!
