Some US schools, mostly public/state funded, allow transfers in the spring, but will in some cases defer freshman to spring if they don't have the space/

In Germany (and in Austria as well I think) you can start most of the courses in April, too. :smile:

Indeed, even though a lot of them have recently changed to Fall start only.

In the US, as it has been said before, some universities allow for Spring start. And in the UK some universities (normally not to highly ranked ones) allow a Jan/Feb start, too.

To get a more detailed answer, let us know where you wanna study, what languages you speak, if you want a state- or privately funded university, etc.
