Are these indices questions right?

1. Express 8^(1/2) as a power of 2 = 2^1.5

2. Express the sqrt of 3 as a power of 9 = 9^(1/4)

3. Express 1 / (4 * sqrt of 2) = 2^-2.5

Sorry for the confusing notation - I really need to learn that maths formatting thing! Thanks for any help.

(You can check both values on a calculator and see if they are the same :O).

Correct, yet it might be useful if you use 3/2 rather than 1.5 as it is very rare to use decimals as indices. Using decimals also makes it very hard to check the working without a calculator.

But yes, you are very correct
