Re: TiestoIt has a tiny tiny element of truth in it but this is largely sensationalist bullsh*t.(Original post by joppajoppa)

Basically, there is too much "DJ worshipping" going on in the trance scene these days. I've actually always thought Tiesto was an overrated DJ. The hype surrounding him in particular is way too much.
But to say the likes of Tiesto are doing absolutely "nothing for rave culture" is crap. And to suggest that trance is only popular because magazines like DJ Mag have brainwashed people into liking it is equally crap.
The fact is, the only reason you (and people like you) go along with this sensationist rubbish is that, quite simply, you don't like trance or, at the least, today's style of trance. Well, it's tough t*ts i'm afraid. "Rave culture", whatever that's meant to be, has changed since the days when the KLF were around. Get used to it. -
Re: Tiesto
Tiesto's new track 'He's a pirate' is an awsome track, my personal other favourites by him are Sparkles,Surburban Train, Lethal Industry and A Tear In The Open.
Tiesto whether the 'old school' ravers dont like him or not is one of the main reasons that Trance is still around today, him along with Paul Van Dyk has made trance accesible to so many people who otherwise wouldnt of got into the scene -
Re: TiestoAlready got it!(Original post by qwerty_st/n)
I've just discovered an absolute gem,
Tiesto Vs Oceanlab - Adagio for Sattelite
It's not bad. I prefer Armin's Bootleg of Suburban Train vs. Yet Another Day.

I'd upload it for you all, but i don't know how to
Piece of cake. -
