Well we'll have to disagree then.
You seem to think I mean everyone walks around all day hoping everyone else f**ks up everything they do, and revels in others little failures.
I'm saying on a subconscious level we (apparently not you though) don't feel 100% satisfied with life, and we don't (subconsciously) want anyone else to be either.
It's why many people enjoy seeing celebrities fall from their great heights - After all, who wants to see someone having such a great life?
If a guy from back at school suddenly won big in the lottery, people are going to be jealous. They won't admit it, but you'll be able to notice it immediately when they discuss it.
And what will happen?
People will start criticising how they spend their money, or just criticising them in general. Because deep inside they fear that they'll now lead a better life than them and everyone else doing the usual 9-5.
They'll suddenly have an opinion. And that opinion, in my opinion
is based on feeling insecure.
