The stimulation of the amygdala (which is part of the limbic system of the brain) is associated with emotional responses (which aggression can come under). Serotonin in normal levels inhibits (prevents) the stimulation of amygdala, but in lower levels it decreases the inhibition and so an individual is more vulnerable to using aggression.
