Sankeys..

Coming to Manchester Uni in Sept and have been looking at info about the nightlife, seems everyone's in agreement that Sankeys is the place, just wondering do they run a student night? And are they actually open at the moment? heard they shut down last year but were going to reopen...

Yeah it's called Full Moon on a Thursday. It's ticket only though so you have to be prepared. To be honest the idea of Sankeys is just horrible now to me unless it's for a touring dj, the bouncers and the queues are just horrible, but in first year everyone loves it (and at the time it was great for me too.)
