Does anyone else say 'hi' to people they dislike just to be nice only to get ignored?

Or even if not ignored you are reminded during the interaction why you dislike them, or may be treated as 'inferior' by said person :s-smilie:

I don't know why I do this though it's been a habit for longer than I can remember :/

Any ideas as to why this happens?

I don't say 'hi' to them in the first place. Sorted.
I don't say hi to people I don't like

why would I? I don't like them
I don't say hi to people I don't like, I don't even smile, just walk on by
I ain't got time to be nice to people I don't like

The only problem with not saying hi is pretending to ignore them, which is even more awkward.

I just nod, in acknowledgment, but I don't say anything to them, and they usually do the same. I don't have any serious enemies though, just the odd person who I have a personality clash with.

Sometimes. If I've spoken to them before and have to see them alot I do but won't stop and make conversation
