a few questions about accommodation/student finance?

just a few things i am not clear on and would appreciate answers for:
if on results day you find out that you didn't make your firm but did make your insurance how do you go about applying for accommodation. also or the same situation, what do you do about student finance if you go to your insurance instead of your firm? surely things won't get done in time.
With regards to accommodation it depends entirely on the uni you end up going to, they may have enough rooms in halls or you may have to find private halls or a shared house. Student finance deals with lots of people changing their uni, there may be a delay if you're changing from a uni in London to one that isn't or vice versa but otherwise it'll probably be fine.

accomodation- you need to check what your insurance accomodation policy is. Some will let you apply for accomodation now and guarentee it for insurance students, with some its worth ringing up on results day to see if they have any spare places in halls and with some you just won't get a place in halls and they may organise househunting events. Either way at most universities accomodation in halls isnt allocated until places are confirmed on results day.

With student finance its just a matter of either changing the university online or by phoning up.
