perfect car for a 17 year old

was watching the top gear episode where they pick a car for a 17 year old with a budget of 2,500

what car would you get ??

Tbh mate at 17 you ain't gonna be driving anything fun. My first car was a Mk2 golf at age 21. Insurance was 2k. Car cost 500.

For your first car at 17, you cant get much better than a micra.
Bear in mind that at 17, you arent going to be driving anything amazing.

I'd rather have a Cinquecento/Seicento Sporting. Pretty much the most fun you can have at 17. Car in good condition, insurance and some spending money for less than £2,500.

Wish I had done that.

I think the better car for young persons isn't small tiny hatchbacks, a better car would be a Ford Mondeo or something a bit heavier but with the lowest engine output. Heavier car plus low power output equals a far safer car.
