aqa AS chemistry eqatuion for he production of methanol?

In the nelson thornes book it represents the equation for the production of methanol from carbon monoxide and hydrogen like this :

CO + 3H2 CH3OH

However this equation isn't balanced as there is more hydrogen present reactants than in the products.
Or is this something to do with equilibrium?

Must be a typo.
