just because you're an idiot it doesn't mean you have to take it out on other people. tbh you are getting on my tits, everytime you post it seems to be an insult.

spend a DECENT amount of time on your coursework.. this doesn't mean that you should spend all of your time on IA, but make sure you got all the details down.. for your science pracs (i don't know how much this applies to bio, cos i take chem and phys) make sure you have ALL of the marking criteria.. if you make ONE mistake (at least in phys and chem) in one category, you can only get a 2, not a 3 in that criterion.. for maths, do your portfolios well.. what's important with those is the writeup.. the actual mathematical content isn't always that difficult (although they CAN be, so watch out..) once exams roll around, PRACTISE PAPERS.. one good thing to keep your spanish levels up is to get your hands on as much spanish media as possible.. read spanish newspapers online (www.elpais.es is very reputable) to keep updated on current events.. i don't know about standard, but for higher, we need to have an idea of the spanish culture and political climate/history for our orals.. and make sure you know that if you were doing GCSE spanish before, it's going to be quite a jump to standard B..

that said, don't kill yourself if you don't get 45.. it's near impossible, (keyword, NEAR).. if at first your grades seem to add up to about, 35, for example, identify which subjects you need to work on (sounds obvious, but it never occurs to some people) and which areas in those subjects you need to work on, and try to raise your score a few points at a time..

oh, and keep good notes.. especially for subjects like maths, history, bio, econs.. you're going to have to be able to read (and find!) them in 2 years' time..

A 45 is not impossible, just improbable. It wholly depends on what subjects you're doing and how you find them. Of course, you're screwed if you drop a mark on your EE/ToK.

Don't do four HL subjects. All the people I know who took 4 got lower grades than predicted. It isn't worth the extra effort, as most unis won't care anyway.

why cjsk taking 2 types of math ?

my school has 5 person scored 44 .. 42 person scored 42-43, total of 119 students scored 40 and above .. so if you want to score 45, your basic must first be solid .. meaning to say you must have good grades in O-level, so that you can spend less time on studies ..

i think people get 45 because they dont expect it. you cant expect that high a grade because you get caught up in trying to get it that your work will probably not be as well done. just *aim* for 45 but try not to be disappointed if you dont get it. and dont do 4 HL. that's crazy.

4 HL is ok .. maybe just a lot more work to do ..

yes .. most people don't expect to get 45 scored 45 .. so, don't you think of such a high expectation ..

the sevenoaks school is cool ..

i'm taking two types of maths firstly because i can, and i'm good at maths.. it's the same reason people take FM at A-level, except i'm slightly more crazy because it's my 7th subject, not my 4th or 5th.. either way, i enjoy it, as geeky as it sounds, and it's just like another extracurricular.. i don't mind getting a 4 on it (well i kinda do, but it doesn't matter as much) because it's just an extra and i'll have gotten my diploma anyway..

    Re: perfect 45
It's possible to get 45 points it's just extremely hard, especially when you want to do 4 highers and one of them is maths. I personally don't find that it's as hard as it is made out by teachers (as some of them have been feeding me that maths HL is the hardest IB subject) but maybe it's just me :p: or I'm not yet at the stage where I need to go "Oh no no no no I wasn't meant to do Maths" :p:
Either way, take care, and wish you the best
