Fe^(2+) / Fe^(3+) half cell

For this half cell, the forward reaction is
Fe^(2+) + e^(-) ---> Fe^(3+)

That makes no sense bro. How can something become more positive when you add an electron..

So i guess the forward reaction is actually Fe^(3+) +e^(-) -----> Fe^(2+)
