Spam: (noun) irrelevant or unsolicited messages sent over the Internet, typically to large numbers of users, for the purposes of advertising, phishing, spreading malware, etc.

If you want some actual non virus advice, you'll have to provide more information than 'I gotta new laptop lol no porn no viruses lel'

What OS do you run, what websites do you typically use, do you torrent, etc etc. Although I highly doubt you'll answer any of these because your threads and replies are always irrelevant and trollish as hell.

Such insolence. How dare you cynically accuse me of trolling in my own thread with false quotes. I'll have you known that such baseless accusation is against the RULES of tsr and will no doubt receive you a reprimand for breach of rules.

If i were i would be trembling with fear now.

Also I use windows 7, Facebook & Telegraph & Youtube , No.

You're not gonna get viruses from streaming porn from legit sites, why don't you just get some decent anti-virus software?

Anyway as others have said, good luck, I give it a week tops.

As I live in the Gulf, most of the porn sites (rather any website with similar keywords) are blocked my service provider.

The only way to get porn here is torrents. And personally, i dont torrent given how the worst one's can screw your laptop...

Bull****, you've just gotta take necessary precautions, here's an analogy that's well-suited to this thread; think of preventing viruses like preventing STD's you use dat protection you don't get no viruses.

The quote was from Google, you too can access it by searching 'define spam.' I'm shaking in my boots at the thought of reprimand by the mods on a site that I rarely frequent. The quality of posts has gone far down, this thread being a fine example.

If you really wanted to be free from viruses, you could use linux, but it may be a little advanced for you.
In general, don't visit sites that look dodgy, don't click links that look dodgy.

Calm down. I know about Linux & I have seen it being used before. And honestly your advise sucks. And cheer up

The 'legitimate' popular ones... ones which do not take you to other sites etc.
If you want to avoid or deal with viruses then download browsing security features (java blocker etc) and invest in norton/kaspersky and malwarebytes.

Ive got McCafee Security Scan plus or something which should be doing what Norton/kasper should do..?

Also I don't think Java is installed in this laptop. Man, I feel safe already

It funny because I thought my laptop was virus free too. And my AVG Virus-whatever always said your system is 100% protected and whatnot. Turns out AVG sucks.

It was XP too... I like XP.

Aye maybe - is it the full version of McCafee?

If you really want to feel safe then perhaps... don't use windows if you can put up with the loss of functionality.

There is far far far malware etc that targets those distributions.

But you should be safe - just make sure nothing gets downloaded :P never say yes to anything you aren't 100% sure about. Also, don't use the main user account on your pc, makes it easier to hack if you do get something on your system.
