NEWSThe aliens are reported to be just passing the rings of Jupiter and are estimated to be at the ISS in 2 days time. They have responded to the Security Council's message and have agreed to meet on the International Space Station. Though details are unclear, the aliens seem to be peaceful but UN members have begun mobilising their defences regardless.

Though it seems we know very little about the aliens, they seem to know a significant amount planet Earth and its geopolitics. As such, they wish to meet with only 5 representatives from all over the world (1 from Europe, 1 from Australasia, 1 from North America, 1 from South America and 1 from Africa) rather than a Western dominated welcome squad. They suggested using the rest of the time before they arrive to decide who will meet them. We will report further details as soon as we have them.

India is outraged that Asia has not been included.

If our continent is barred from taking part, then we shall henceforth break away to deal with this event by our own terms. We strongly advise that other Asian nations, such as China, do the same.

Luxembourg shall mobilise our army, but we shall not conscript.

Vis-à-vis the continental representatives, Luxembourg suggests that the representatives are the countries of greatest population in their continents, that is Germany, China, Brazil, Nigeria and the USA. As well as representing nearly two billion people, these countries have a wide range of cultures and perspectives which will help to avoid the bias that the aliens desire. We propose that the individuals will be video-linked leaders, or if this is unacceptable, senior astro/taiko/spationauts from the countries.

Belgium requests that Kim Jong-un be excluded from representing humanity to our new visitors. We have much to learn from them, and it would be counter-productive to introduce them to such a detrimental & unstable regime.

Belgium would also like to suggest that a video-link is set up between the ISS at the UN HQ in New York City, so that other nations might witness the initial meeting.

This is an exciting time for the people of Earth to come together, to represent not just a group of cooperating nations, but as a singularity acting on behalf of the whole of humanity.

The aliens had arrived at the ISS, and first hand accounts say that they look just like humans except they have pale skin, light blonde hair, and grey coloured eyes. They have already learned English and Mandarin seemingly going for the most popular languages. An initial meeting had taken place with representatives of their 5 handpicked nations which was USA, Germany, China, Brazil, and South Africa. From that meeting the five nations decided to allow the aliens to make their first broadcast to the MUN. "We want peace not war, we are here to gain knowledge and share some of ours. We feel as though we have reached the end of our evolution and want to advance other races while learning about their evolution. So we ask permission to land on your planet, you can choose where we stay we'll try not to draw too much attention to ourselves. Thank you MUN we are the Yetsal!"

The security council will allow the general assembly to make the decision.

Luxembourg is a little suspicious, but requests that the aliens share some of their scientific knowledge as a sort of deposit. In terms of the landing site, the location would have to be safe, but near to population - perhaps Midwestern USA.
