I am counsel for the government of Southeros (fictional country) and have to argue/adjudge upon whether the pre trial chamber was correct in ts legal conclusion that an official who orders a series of Drone strikes to kill leaders of a terrorist group, where widespread injury to civilians was a predictable result of such action, can be criminally liable for crimes against humanity
Southeros were looking for a leader of a group (HLO) and used air strikes to find him and kill him. They did, but in doing so, killed a high number of civilians.
Prior to this, the HLO had claimed responsibility for three deadly train attacks
