Best Residence for an International Law Student

I'm an international student (from Canada) who will be studying law at King's starting September 2014. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do about residence.

I'm looking for:

Proximity to law building, ie Sommerset House.

I'd way prefer catering.

Good social scene.

I'm not a mature student: I'm 18, and this is my first degree.

I'd like an ensuite bathroom, but I probably haven't got the money.

Also, whenever I go on the Residential application system, I can only rank buildings, not specific rooms. If I pick a building but get the wrong room, what can I do about that? If I get an ensuite, am I on the hook for all the extra fees?
