Why do Americans say the UK is overrun with Muslims?
I swear , almost every American and Australian, I meet in real life or online when I tell them I'm from the UK just always have to say at some point "Aww I love England , great country shame it's being overtaken by Muslims now"
In another (American )forum someone asked what do they think of Brits and an American replied:
"I feel sorry for Brits because their country is getting over run by Muslims but their government is to beta and PC to do anything about it."
Then a few pages later:
"Muslim birth rate is growing much faster than the native british birth rate within the UK. Umad britons?..lol good night sweet uk
RIP in peace "
Go to any British youtube video and there's tons of comments from "the Uk is being overtaken by Muslims...the Uk will follow Shariah law soon"
Where have they got this idea from? Muslims only make up 4% of the population?

I went to youtube and the comments section made me vomit. So many disgusting comments it made me so angry for a while.
Probably due to more racist mindsets, I've heard America is probably the most unwelcoming nation to Islam due to their attitudes over there.
The UK is home to about 200,000 more Muslims than the US, which isn't a great difference. (UK estimate is 2.8 million, US has 2.6 million.) It's just because the US has a much bigger population than us, Islam makes up 0.8% of their population, compared to our 4.8% or so. Even that is minimal, it's just internet trolls trying to stir stuff up.
Also, Australians can be pretty racist, you just have to look at their track record with native aboriginals.

It's probably also just racist ideas from some people who don't know what they're talking about. I look at my twitter feed and people are literally all '#worldomination' 'ethnic cleansing' and 'get rid of the muslims'

I can only talk from a Southerner's perspective, but here's my point of view:
In the South, you do not see any Muslims walking around with burkas or those turbans on (sorry, I don't know much about Muslim terminology or dress code). It could be dangerous for the person. I would not dare to do it, because people here have that mindset 'if you're not with us, you're against us'. The same reason why I've never admitted to being an atheist - the reactions would be highly unpleasant.
From what I've seen up North, the Muslim communities stick close together and do not mingle much, so even if there are some Muslims in the States, they are not in the spotlight. The CNN usually doesn't talk about the problems of immigrant minorities. You hear stuff about shootings in black ghettos, but never anything about Asian or Middle Eastern communities. Maybe nothing happens there, maybe they keep it quiet to avoid the wrath of 'real Americans'.
So when they hear about the things happening in the UK (if I remember correctly, the soldier who was murdered on the street last year was killed by 2 black Muslims, then there were stories about kidnappings happening in the UK Muslim community..), they automatically assume the UK is overflowing with stories like these, but they only hear about the worst cases. Also, seeing people who wear typical Muslim outfits is shocking since they never see it in their communities and it makes them think there is much more Muslims in the UK than there actually is.
You know, most Southern Republican supporters are dead sure that Obama is a Muslim and, in their eyes, it's the worst crime ever. Since there's not much religious or ethnical diversity in the Bible Belt, they only know that Muslims kill their soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq and orchestrated 9/11. They never met a Muslim in flesh and realized they are not the devil incarnates.
Even teachers in high schools are vocal about their opinions on the matter. After the Boston bombing, all I heard was 'Them Muslims are coming to our country and planning to kill everybody! We should stop all immigration! Close the borders!'. That was even before the police figured out who did it.
Again, this is my experience from the deep, deep South. I like to believe it is better in big cities and northern states.

It's not because they are racist, not at all, I don't mean to be racist and all but they have a point, I mean, it's not the population of Muslim's, and primarily, our government is at fault for this, I mean, come on, Muslim workers in M&S refuse to sell particular meat to the customer and Subway being pressurised to go completely Halal, no ham etc. Why does everything have to be catered for them, if anyone needs to be the focal point of this country, it should be the Christian community, I'm a Hindu myself and I don't care if all our little needs are not being met, by coming to this country, you need to learn to adapt to the new environment, no one should have to be accommodated as much as they are, there should be a strict policy where if someone has problems as little as type of meat being served at a restaurant, they should be told not to go there, or move to a country where their religious views are welcome to be accepted, I also know it's not every Muslim, in fact, I'm sure there are a number of young Muslims who understand this, Anjem Choudary is a well-known incompetent moron who makes a lot of Muslim's look bad by his comments.

Mass immigration is only natural in an invasion attempt, for behind the scenes ideals and purposes it's vasty abnromal to force such extreme ideals onto a populace over something such as race/religion etc. For it to be orchestrated is not normal whatever you look it, it's not a legitimate act or reason at all, it only would be useful if you wanted to invade a country without the hosts even realizing.

it is largely the government who allocated immigrants in the same place/areas for council flats. that is 90% the cause of why they live so close together.

Really? From what I've seen in london there's a very big "us and them" mindset between many communities, they just don't racially abuse each other in public.
Being racist and refusing to integrate and co-operate are different things. In a real multicultural society the different cultures are suppose to act together for the "greater good" of all. However in reality it generally causes conflict or segregation. Simply everyone using the same transport system does not deny there are no go area's in london for certain ethnicities.
Muslims receive disproportionate media coverage relative to their proportion of the total population, due to their various military and paramilitary actions. Also those people are trying to rile you up.
