PGDIP / CPE in Law. City or Brunel?

Hello,

I was wondering whether any of you have done a Postgraduate diploma in law or know the advantages or disadvantages of it? I just completed my Undergrad Business degree and was now thinking of taking the PGDIP course to go on to a LPC. Firstly I want to know if this is a better option than an accelerated law course and secondly which is a better institution to do it at; City University or Brunel University?

Thanks for any help!!

Hi!

Im doing my LLB at City and know some people doing the GELLB and GDL.
The GELLB is a two year course and covers additional courses besides the compulsory ones: Criminal, tort, etc
Both courses are intense but it all depends on your interest and learning capacity.
I noticed that generally people on the GDL are a bit older, e.g. they already have established careers or have law degree/are practising lawyers abroad while GELLB students tend to be the ones who just graduated from a different course.
Hope this helps out a little
