Uncertainty

Hello all. I'm getting really confused with %uncertainty. If a value is x by 3, such as 3d, do i triple the %uncertainty for d. Regards

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking but if you multiply a variable with uncertainty by a scalar (e.g. 3) the percentage uncertainty doesn't change, only the absolute uncertainty changes (this would also be multiplied by three in this case).
