I don't have issues? I have a right to say what I think as well, I think if the tables were turned you would understand. I don't see myself and other women as targets? I'm simply saying that the attitudes towards women generally are not good and I think that the media etc portray women as objects. Have you ever been sexually assaulted in public? Have you ever been beeped at and shouted at in the street because someone likes the way you look? No I thought not. Generally women are not respected the way men are. Personally I don't think a topless man on a bag is much of a big deal because men don't get the same disrespect in all other parts of life.

So is gay porn okay? Are you only against women being degraded on camera?

How can they get better sex education when you're promoting unhealthy body images for both boys and girls which counteract any amount of education schools can provide?

For all the posters who seem to want to validate themselves that it is a choice for these women to enter the world of porn acting, I have to mention that a lot of the actresses are often in a state of vulnerability, young and often come from underpriviledgedand troubled backgrounds. These "choices" are made out of desperation and these young girls are often pressured to carry out sex acts that they're not really comfortable with but have to do because of the money.
I don't want to demonise all porn, I watch very, very select porn (Dane Jones and other more sensual, gentle porn) but I avoid like the plague about the stuff that is blatantly humiliating, dehumanising and rough. If it looks painful, it most likely is.

it's a real ethical concern the particularly dominating, rough and "whore treatment" of women in porn which seems to be popular with more men than women. I don't get that fantasy - get a kick out of 'putting women in their place' and asserting your dominance the only way of validating masculinity? It's so utterly pathetic.
