Puregym is pretty decent. £18.99 a month and has nice showers, lots of classes and a fair amount of equipment. It's also open 24/7. ISE (uni gym) is pretty decent too and it's just recently been refurbished. You can use the swimming pool with a gym + swim membership too. It's reasonably priced if you're a student but might be a bit steep if you're not.
There's fit4less in either Hilltown or next to the Odeon in Douglas too. No idea what the Dundee one is like but I use the Perth one and it has everything I need and the equipment is decent. Think the membership is around same price as Puregym (I just pay as you go though at a fiver per session).
Other options are DW or the gym at the Olympia. Never been to either though so I can't really comment on them.
