AS and A2 exam in the same year?

Just a quick but probably quite confusing question.

Is it possible to sit an AS AND an A2 exam in the same year for the same subject?

I ask because:
I started my AS year with 3 subjects, and halfway through decided I wanted to pick up Art. I was too late to sit the exam, but carried on with the coursework with the intent of sitting the exam next year with the year below during my A2's. I've now decided I'd like to join the A2 class, having finished my AS coursework, in September and sit the A2 exam that year as well. This would mean I'd have a full Art A Level.

Any knowledge/advice would be SO helpful!

Yeah that can be done im doing a fast track alevel course at the minute which is the AS and A2 in the one year meaning im sitting all the exams in may/june
