Really?! That's very strange. Obviously they knew you were destined for Cambridge

    I doubt it. hehe

There was obviously something they didn't like about me.

This often happens, especially rejections from other good uni's like Durham and Bristol.

To be fair....he was applying for Vet Med.....which is an amazingly hard course to get into...esp with much fewer places available than say..law.

thats a bit of a harsh comparison considering more people apply to do law than vet med. so yeh there may be fewer places but fewer people apply.

But i think that there are DRAMATICALLY few places to read Vet Med (5 in country!) compared to the hundreds of law courses. So even though fewer ppl apply for vet med over law, they're pretty much equally hard to get in. Plus it is possible to do a law degree pretty much anywhere (sure you might not want to go to an old polytech place that accepts ppl with D's!) whereas for vet med the lowest offer you will find is ABB (if that!)

Lol! I like your signature btw! Since I have my own horse and enjoy maths (that kind of thinking) I thought it was very funny - infact you deserve rep for it. Might have to borrow that for my msn name at some point! lol

My Chem teacher told us that one, and he also had a similar one about some army general having an infinate number of arms, but that wasn't as funny...

Or a nightmare for the procrastinator (i.e. me!). It's bad enough having Safeways 200m from the Sixth Form Centre!
