Is Urdu your native language? - If so, then yes it will count as your first language. If not, then it's your second.

But will universities see it equivalent to other language GCSEs, because i have heard that your native language doesn't count as a Gcse. So is there any point taking it?

If you can score an A*/A without putting much time into it then go ahead and take it. Extra qualification is extra qualification, nothing less or more than that.

I'm sure that they prefer European langauges such as french, spanish, german etc. although it would probably be worth it if you can easily get an A/A*.
