Racism.
In regards to homophobia, I don't want to gay bull**** adverts adverts all over the place. They love to show they're gay and I hate it; don't see black people putting out a "I'm black, get over it" advert.

Racism is taught IMO. Homophobia is inherent as it's unnatural.

Actually Martin Luther King jr existed. You know, all those protests etc etc.
I think if someone is being discriminated against, they have every right to be a bit more expressive.

Also I don't see gay adverts anywhere except on pornsites to be honest.
Having seen the astounding bigotry towards homosexuals in this thread, I'm inclined to say homophobia.

You people should be ashamed.
Racism because its bad

Gay people have made their choice to tell everyone about their 'doings' so they should face the consequences that come alongside.

What about gay people who have never even "done" anything?

Not dying of dysentery is unnatural, but most people are completely fine with that.

I want Homophobia to increase in society

Racism is something I accept but the world would be better without it so yeh.

Are you seriously trying to compare the 2? In fact I wouldn't mind an increase of homophobia as well

Faakin 'ell, never knew TSR was so anti-gay.

I however would also say racism. It affect way more people and your race is impossible to hide unlike being gay.

Race is the way you are born - you can't change that. Being gay on the other hand in my honest opinion is down strictly to personal choice. Being racist implies you attack the other person based on whom they are a person, on the other hand if someone is gay, you as a homophobic may attack them upon the basis of the choices they make - being gay.

Now being attacked for whom you are as a person and that you cannot change is different for being criticised for a choice you make - making a choice means it separate you from the object you speak of, in comparison to being of a race, which is inseparable.

More people are affected by racism in the world, and it has far stretching consequences. Homophobia, in comparison, the consequences to the society are less detrimental.
I'm really interested in the TSR Nazis' choices

Who would choose to be gay? I mean, there are perhaps some advantages now, although they don't outweigh the disadvantages, but you're telling me men in the 1950s chose to be gay, when the punishment was chemical castration or prison?

Being punished doesn't imply anything. Men are punished for rape in this generation, yet rape/serious sexual assaults don't cease to exist, infact they are often reported on the news.
Hmm, I don't know; I am sitting on a very uncomfortable fence here. I have seen/ experienced racism aplenty but I have also seen homophobia at all sorts of stages where people have looked uncomfortable/ squeamish on the subject or have said things about people being gay/ bisexual but only to straight people and then at more extreme stages.

What you've said is completely subjective and based upon the fact that you believe homosexuality is a choice.

How is it a choice? Do you not see that being gay may be a little hard to conceal?

You also have a choice not to tell people I'm an atheist, I'm male and I don't like baked beans - should we ban all of those because I don't like to hear that?

wth are you even talking about?

But why would people choose to be gay, if, with what you're saying, they've got a life free of a harassment if they chose to be straight instead? It doesn't make sense??

If they can keep it to themselves they won't be victims of direct homophobia. Whereas being black is near impossible to keep secret.

Why should they keep it to themselves?

And why are you implying that racism only occurs against black people?

Racism. You can't hide your colour whereas people seem to like to make a huge thing about being gay and then get offended when people don't like it. That is what I have a problem with. I don't care if you're gay, good for you. Just don't feel like you have to throw it in my face and make me 'accept' it when I may not want to. For that reason alone, racism.

The only people who ever say that kind of thing, are ironically, homophobes.

And why should they hide their sexuality? Anyone who has a relationship with someone of the same sex will be noticed, unless you never live together and are barely seen together?
