why cant i do this simple division.

664 divide by 16. Answer is 41.5 but I cant get that without a calculator.

please someone show me the written method.

i get 41. Then i have reminder 12.

The remainder is 8. 41 x 16 is 656.

4 x 16 is 64. Carry 2. 8 remainder as stated.
