Whats the differance between friendship and a relationship ?

What is the actual differance, for a relationship is it that you are friends but you just have sex ? But is there more too it I mean through an emotional experience ? Some can argue that in a friendship you can be there for each other and love each other but is it the same as a relationship ?

Anyone who has had or is in a relationship care to expand ?

Thanks
The love you feel for your partner is completely different to the love you feel for a friend.

They do, and then they go and complain about their boyfriend ( you ) to their best friend (you) .
Intimacy

and honestly, you don't know it till you've got it.

I think you're thinking into it too much... When Women say they want their boyfriend/husband to be their best friend too, they mean the side of friendship where they get along, have common interests and like to spend time together BUT ALSO to have the sexual and emotional relationship side too. This just makes the relationship stronger because there's a foundation of "friendship" which makes the "relationship" so much more secure.

Also, friends usually stick together, so if you're friends as well as in a relationship then you're more likely to stay together because there's more than just sexual attraction between you.

Friendship and a relationship are completely different, you can't really be both, if you fell in love with a friend, you would want to be in a relationship with them, because the term friendship no longer serves the purpose of your feelings. You'll understand when you fall in love, it will all become clear

With a relationship you want to see that person all the time, be with them no matter what. They are the first thought in a morning and the last thought at night etc.
A relationship is on a completely different level to friendship. It's way more than sex, you want to be with that person and experience life in general with that person by your side. You'll know it when you feel it.
