Nope... It's an easy paper, I'm sure lots of people found it easy

It's just that people commented saying it was the hardest maths paper they'd ever done or something like that

Am I the only one hoping that the real exam is going to be challenging?

I love maths, and specially working with the A/A* questions

Currently in my mocks I've gotten one B, 3-4 As and one A*

I'm aiming to get 90% + in both paper.

The only thing I hate is graphs... although I get them right in most cases.., it's just so boring ://

Nope, I'm with you on that one. It's no fun if it's too easy! :colone:

I predict that there's gonna be more wordy questions this year
Anyone else find the simpler maths questions harder than the complex ones near the end of paper ._.

Yep. Sometimes I find in the wordy questions near the beginning I'll end up adding something up wrong or misreading things. I think the questions near the end are more straight forward to understand.

While we're at it, wouldn't it be great if we asked maths questions to each other in the thread? I think, it would be a great way to start revision

I know what you mean

It's probably because most people overlook as the lower grade questions to be much easier, paying less attention and effort to answer them.

That's not what I got, although it is pretty close

Did you assume the diagonals are 12 by any chance?

I got x as 5 and the height was 12, and since they were both parallel, they were both 12. right?

h was the vertical height, what made you assume it was the diagonal height as well? You might be right, but that's not how I did it

i really want to get an A but i'm not motivated to revise so i know i'm gonna end up with a B. i hope it's easy so i can just fluke it. i got a B on the mock with no revision but i'm actually pretty bad at maths

This is my problem exactly. Confident on a strong B though..

Pythagoras on the right angled triangle with height of 12 and base of 5 (the little side bit on the bottom edge).
