Does any good come from porn?

I'm not a feminist, nor do I plan to be. Am I the only one that thinks that NO good comes from porn? I was exposed to soft porn from a young age (10) and started watching 'full' porn around 13. I've never been a serial addict of porn and used to watch it about once every one or two weeks before I gave it up completely. Even though I wasn't an addict, I still experienced the many harms of porn. Porn teaches you that women are objects that are used and discarded, that women should be orally raped, gagged and ejaculated over their face. Porn shows absolutely no mercy to women. Don't even get me started on the more hardcore stuff. Porn is also so addictive and it pulls you back. It rots the brain and socially rewires the society to accept such despicable behaviour. The only reason why porn is legal is because it's a multi-billion pound industry. I feel sorry the thousands if not millions of kids who are exposed to this junk through media and social media. This next generation is f***ed.

The health benefits of regular masturbation (yes I know you don't need porn to masturbate).

Are you sure it's porn you're watching? It sounds like you've only visited rape sites.

You need to watch a larger variety of porn if that's all you think porn is. Rape, gag etc are relatively extreme and are not a fair representation of "porn" and what's wrong with a money shot?
There's plenty of porn where men abuse women, women abuse women, women abuse men, men abuse men etc.

Porn is a good sexual learning tool, a good tool of understanding different body types ( No not all porn is a big boobed, shaven girl or a 10 inch cock) and a good way of relieving sexual urges. Good comes from porn, regardless of this media push trying to paint it in a bad light due the the popularity of porn bashing.
Of course, masturbation comes of it, and most people would agree that masturbation's a good thing.
I'd call my erection a good thing, yes.

Porn is not sex ed. Money shot is degrading but society has become so desensitised that no one bats an eyelid. The thing with porn is that it's addictive. So you start watching normal sex, then you become tolerant and move on to harder and harder material.
the women in these videos enjoy what they are doing.
It spices things up in the bedroom sometimes.

Are you serious? They don't enjoy it at all. It's all fake and they're getting paid. Just ask the ex porn stars.

The negatives definitely outweigh the positives.

I am a female feminist, and am proud to be. My Dad, by the way, is a male feminist (a feminist is someone who advocates for women's rights) and taught me to respect myself and be proud for being a female. I am proud to be his daughter.

Am I the only one that thinks that NO good comes from porn?

No. I also do not think that anything good comes from porn. My Dad also doesn't think that anything good comes from porn.

I was exposed to soft porn from a young age (10) and started watching 'full' porn around 13.

My Dad had a similar experience.

As for me, I was curious around 14 years old and looked at porn, which frankly messed up my head and it wasn't till I talked with my Mom and prayed with her that I felt better and like myself again. Porn perverts the brain in many humans, in my opinion.

I've never been a serial addict of porn and used to watch it about once every one or two weeks before I gave it up completely.

That's awesome! Some guys (and girls) get seriously enslaved to porn; it changes their brains.

Even though I wasn't an addict, I still experienced the many harms of porn. Porn teaches you that women are objects that are used and discarded, that women should be orally raped, gagged and ejaculated over their face. Porn shows absolutely no mercy to women.

You are sadly right. :frown: Again, porn changes the brains of the addicted to think to see other people as sexual objects that one does not have to care for as a real human being, who is not a daughter of someone or the mother of someone or the sister of someone, but rather is an object that is all about sex and nothing more.

Don't even get me started on the more hardcore stuff. Porn is also so addictive and it pulls you back. It rots the brain and socially rewires the society to accept such despicable behaviour. You are totally right. I am glad you saw that. My Dad saw that. He was an addict until he got married to my Mom and had 4 daughters. He knew his porn addiction hurt my Mom emotionally but it wasn't until his paternal instinct kicked in with us his daughters that he began to fight whole-heartedly against porn. With God's help, he is now porn-free and he advocates living life free from porn. That in turn has greatly blessed my parents' marriage, which is wonderful for my sisters and me because seeing our parents happy and madly in love with each other is one of the greatest gifts they have ever given us.

That's what I mean by desensitisation

I'm not into porn anymore. How can you say that they enjoy being gangbanged, that they enjoy being deep-throated? All of this is 'normal' porn.

Can't think of any good coming from porn apart from what sexual pleasure is derived from it. The negative far outweighs the positive though. It's one of those curses of society - porn is hard to resist for its sexual pleasures however base and perverted, yet the porn site user indirectly supports an increasingly cruel and sordid global porn industry. So much evil is tied up with it yet we choose to put that stuff at the back of our minds e.g. the mafia run trafficking and prostitution of sex slave girls. Internet porn can be like a drug - the mind lusts for increasingly depraved stuff and these days its only a touch of a keyboard away.

It's ludicrous to claim that porn inherently involves violence to women; what about gay porn? Does it teach violence to women?
But tying girls up and gagging them is hot. And a surprising amount of girls love it.
