The best bit about those post is not how you insult everyone's opinion but that you say everyone elses music taste is awful just before recommending Korn of all bands.
If you want something not too heavy, the latest QOTSA album is absolutely amazing. The rest of their albums are great too, but ...Like Clockwork is a masterclass in clever, melodic rock music.

If you say so luv.
I'm going to suggest albums as you can't make a judgement based on one song.

Rise against.
Start with Endgame, work your way backwards through the other albums. (The older stuff is better, but might not be to your tastes, so start with their newest album as it is the most mainstream)

Biffy Clyro (Only Revolutions, or Opposites)

Deftones (Diamond Eyes, Koi No Yokan)

Billy Talent (Any album would be fine, II is my favourite.)

Kasabian

Foo Fighters

Papa Roach (Infest, Paramour Sessions, don't bother with The Connection or Time For Annihilation)

30 Seconds To Mars (A Beautiful Lie, This is War)

Some lesser known/ newer bands: Idivide, Don Broco, Blitz Kids?

As far as extended instrumentals go, 2-3 minutes is pretty tame. Try listening to a few Dream Theater songs and you'll see what I mean.

Hey, guys. Was hoping any Rock music pro's could help me out. Im really starting to enjoy it but its hard finding exactly what i want. Ive had Paramore misery business and Ignorance on repeat all day. Skillet are awesome too.

Are there any other rock bands that get you completely hyped like the two i just listed?

Alter Bridge
Slipknot
Deftones - every album is perfection
A7X
Enter Shikari
Marilyn Manson
Rise Against
Shinedown
The Foo Fighters
the first 4 Linkin Park albums
the fist three 30 seconds to mars albums

Now for the oldies
The Stones Roses
The Smiths
Johnny Marr - even though his album is only a year old
Nirvana
Depeche Mode
Joy Division
Metallica

I see you like dragon Ball so here are some Asian Rock stars
Asian Kung Fu generation - made the opening to naruto and full metal alchemist
Guckkastan
The pillows - have you ever heard of FLCL (craziest anime EVER)
Nell

(pretty much any kick ass anime's opening track)

YESSS!!!! you know it, misery business is friggin amazing, while the "Ignorance is your new best friend" in Ignorance never fails to make me sing along

From their new ones, "Still into you" isnt too bad while "aint it fun" is pretty sick ngl. But i doubt they'll ever make anything that comes close to Misery business or ignorance again.

Yeah they'll never be as good as they were in Riot! :frown: I have to admit Fast In My Car is definitely my guilty pleasure
Rage Against The Machine

If you like Fall Out Boy, I am sure you will love Panic! At the Disco
Idk if you'll like this but these are the artists on my iPhone of that sort of genre (in no particular order):
MUSE
My Chemical Romance
The Neighbourhood
Two Door Cinema Club
The 1975
The Killers
Radiohead (listen to 'creep' omg)
30 seconds to mars
Red (they're sort of metally but i don't like any other metal bands but like them for some reason)
You Me At Six
Arctic Monkeys
Oasis
Keane
Colplay
Green Day
Linkin Park (don't like their stuff since A Thousand Suns though)
Mayday Parade
Rise Against
Snow Patrol
Blink 182
All Time Low
Here's a few I recommend:

Brian Jonestown Massacre (Listen to the album Take it From the Man! Very 60's rock and blues rock inspired as well as some folk rock).
Radiohead (Listen to most of the album The Bends and OK Computer, don't go near Pablo Honey or the song Creep, they are horrid and it's the worst material they have written).
Creedence Clearwater Revival (Seriously, one of the best 60's bands ever, really bluesy, southern tones and one of the best voices in the industry ever, try the Green River album or just go with the singles collection, that would be your best bet).
The Doors (One of the greatest bands ever, go with their first self titled album, fantastic piece).
I'm only really a semi-expert in a few sub-genres of Rock
But I would say bands that are a must listen are;

The Smiths (probably already mentioned)
Pixies
R.E.M
The Jesus & Mary Chain
Smashing Pumpkins
Black Flag
Dead Kennedys
Violent Femmes
Bloc Party
Garbage...........literally everything else depends into which sub-genre you're into. This list has a bit of it all, slow and fast, aggro and mellow.
