Never had a GF at 22

By "money", I am referring to the fact that people from a well off background have more life experiences, have had more opportunities to learn useful things, have a much higher self-esteem etc., than someone like me - and it isn't even remotely close. No one in my family works (due to very bad circumstances) - and I am the only person in my family that made it to university - and a very prestigious one, at that.
But, with that said, all of these things wouldn't matter to me if I had a companion. The fact that someone like me has never had a girlfriend at 22 makes me feel that the fact that I grew up in such harsh conditions has deterred me very, very much in the relationship department.
I still wonder if I will ever get one... Still can't believe that I made it to 22. No telling how long this will go on for - despite doing so many positive things for myself.
