I AM 20yo and I have a conditional deffered university offer for sep 2015 and am currently finishing my current college access to HE course. I am planning to do alot of voluntary work and get a part time job in this deffered/gap year. However I haven't had much look on the job front yet.

yes you can claim in your gap year until your enrolled at university. after that you can't claim until you do your degree.
