How long would you stay with a girl if she kept delaying sex?

My boyfriend waited 9 months for me - but it doesn't mean that during that time we did nothing of a sexual nature. He said that he would wait for me and never pressured me or initiated anything, it was me who did

He said he loves me and would have waited for even longer if he had to. Sex doesn't have to mean everything in a relationship and we both know this.

You have him whipped. He sounds a bit wet

What if she said she just didn't feel ready for sex and wanted to take it slow?

I'd be fine with that
I don't understand how some guys will leave girls if they won't have sex within the first month of their relationship :/ my (now ex-) boyfriend and I had our first kiss in a month...

I got dumped for not having sex with a guy after one week lol :frown:
I'm guessing people voting for more than 6 months are very , very young. Either that or the girls are voting as guys.

I think he has me whipped on him tbh even though I had a lot of issues regarding sex (having nearly gotten forced on by my first boyfriend leaving me traumatised and the consistent arguments with other boyfriends leading me to believe sex was all guys wanted) I still wanted to have sex with him so I'd slowly warm myself up to it and I trust him completely body and soul so it kind of happened.

And the word wet is giving me silly thoughts

My boyfriend made me wait seven long months before we had sex, but I stayed with him because I loved (and love) him and I trusted that it would happen eventually.

Also, I'm having to go two and a half months without sex this summer. It's only been three weeks so far and it's already killing me. The things I do for love......

Why did he want to wait that long..?
Over a year has top votes.
What. o_o

It's totally dependent on why. If, say, she's all religious and it's not until marriage for arbitrary religious reasons - I wouldn't go out with her in the first place.

If, I dunno, it's because of, say some past trauma and there's issues like that? If I loved her I would wait, I can do 'other things' by myself :P

Do you mean ****ing over porn because why would you want to **** over other girls if you 'loved' her? Doesn't really make any sense does it?

Were you a virgin at the time? Was he?

I was 17, he was 30 and he wanted to make absolutely sure that I was completely ready and that he would be above reproach.

Frankly, I would have been happy to have sex on the second date (makes me all tingly even now remembering how sexy he looked that night....:colone:) but obviously, as a 17 year old complete novice, I couldn't very well initiate, because I didn't really know how to.

I also didn't want to come across as the nymphomaniac I am, because I didn't want to put him off. On top of that, I had a very busy summer, what with one thing and another, so we didn't actually find a suitable time until seven months after we met.

Pretty good justification  Plus he probably though your Dad would kill him otherwise..

Lol, my dad wouldn't hurt a fly. But my bf thought that my mum was going to throw him into the street, riddled with bullet holes after she walked in on us cuddling in bed in the beginning
Depends how much I care about them and why they don't want to. Anything other than 'waiting for marriage' is an acceptable reason (I don't want to get married). As long as they want to have sex with me at some point, just not right then, I could wait.

I'd wait till the end of my days till she's ready , if need be .
