Chemistry ocr a 3rd june 2014

Can anyone predict keywords for the exam this year? Any past key words that keep coming up year after year?

They'll be stuff on everything. Enthalpies will ALWAYS come up so make sure you are hot on your MCAT equation and enthalpies of formation and combustion.

Definitions always come up too, memorize them, learn, cover, write, check until they are perfect then keep repeating!

Know your mechanisms for radical substitution, electrophilic addition and nucleophilic substitution! Again just keep drawing them out again, again and again. I know its boring but you WILL know it perfectly this way.

Naming compounds and being able to draw them, if you can't do this you have no chance at this paper...
Make sure you know how to name alkenes (ene), alkanes (ane), alcohols (ol), esters (oate), carboxylic acids (oic acid), ketones (one) and aldehydes (al)
