    If you get an ESRC quota studentship...
    Do you have to stay at that uni for your PhD also?

    NB: This is a quota, not funding from the open competition.

    Quota awards are not transferable to another institution unless the supervisor highly recommends the student's request for a transfer.

    Or unless the supervisor is moving to another institution (I think).

    you might be able to change easier with open comp - but i think you have to go to an esrc outlet uni.
