Sorry, this is an AQA thread.

Sorry I just noticed! I found it eventually good luck tomorrow and I hope you get the high marks you all deserve (I can say that because it doesn't effect OCR grade boundaries)

This thread was actually for AQA Syllabus and not OCR/MEI. Sorry for not mentioning that

Who's ready then?! Anyone doing some last minute revision?

Why is it always that the most inactive threads are the exam boards I take? Why?!?!

I am
I'm just relaxing. Tiring myself out doing papers I've already done isn't going to help me personally.

probability of A is 0.70 that john attends an event
probability of B is 0.55 that mary attend an event
probability of A and B is 0.45 is that john and mary attend the same event

what is the probability of
that either john or mary or both attend a particular event?

1 - 0.3 * 0.45 = 0.865
lol forgot I had exam today until I saw this thread. (Thought it was on Monday)
Is this exam at 13:00 or 13:30?

13:30 for us, but you should get there early just incase
Unofficial mark scheme on this thread after?

Good luck everyone!! I am sure you are all going to ace it!
I reckon I aced it.

That was easier than expectations, the grade boundaries are going to be pretty high.
Here's what I remember:

The number 0.029 came up twice

The PPMCC was 0.9 something

The CI at the end was 118+-18.7

You had to reduce the sample size by one each time you multiplied the next probability in the last Q of the hairs/eyes question.

Using x=525 is unrealistic because it gives a negative value for y
I can probably help with an unofficial mark scheme
Binomial question: mean and variance at the end: mean=108 var=30.2

Normal distribution question: p(Xnot equalling) was 1
The last part (b) find the standard deviation was 0.0242
