Applying for medicine 2015 at Bart's

Hey guys :smile:

So I just finished my AS exams and I'll be applying for medicine for 2015 entry.
My dream would be to study at QMUL (it always has been!) so I really want to make sure they like me and I stand out to them.

Could anyone tell me what they love in medical applicants?

Of course I'm hoping for As in my AS subjects (chemistry, biology, psychology and philosophy and ethics) and a decent UKCAT score but I know that there's so much more to it. I've done 2 weeks of work experience last summer at the Royal London Hospital and I'll hopefully go there again this summer. I'm also volunteering in India for a month in various hospitals as well as volunteering for this hypnotherapy group and shadowing workers at a pharmaceutical company which will show I've carefully considered each area of medicine.

I'm pretty content with the work experience and volunteering I will have under my belt but how can I appear desirable, especially to Queen Mary? Is they anything they value in particular? Could anything potentially outweigh a slightly less than average UKCAT score?

Any help would be extremely appreciated as I'm desperate to be accepted there!
