Placement abroad, Portugal?

Hi guys, in the third year we get the choice to pick our placement, some students will choose to go abroad. We've been shown a felt placement locations abroad, together with the prices. Personally i liked Nepal, but considering that the placement would cost me around 2200£ for only 2 weeks, that is quite expensive i would say (and it was one of the cheapest on the list as well).

Still though i would like to go somewhere abroad, and i thought about maybe going to Portugal, I'm not Portuguese but i do speak fluent Portuguese, added to that it would be a lot cheaper and with the placement being in June (next year), it would be quite a good time of the year to go. Has anybody been there in placement, any thoughts?
