More proof the EU are dependent on UK trade and can't stop trading with us

Latest trade figures show that in April the UK to EU trade deficit was £5.1 billion, over £60 billion on an annualised rate in favour of the EU economies. Considering how gigantic the figure does the suggestion the EU will stop trading with the UK if we leave the EU is a load of nonsense?

on the other hand, you could say it's britain that depends on european imports...(cuz britain is in a deficit with EU trade)

Interdependency is the word. Both require each other in trade... now do we really think that there wouldn't be some sort of work around in a UK independent from the EU that would allow this to continue?

Only extremists think the UK would not get a trade agreement if it left the EU... that's not a valid reason to leave in itself though.
I don't think anybody's said the EU would cease trading with us if we left the EU. What would happen though is that our arrangements with the EU would risk being less advantageous than they are now.

It's not that they wont trade with us. It's that we'll become subject to export tarriffs, and be less competitive as a result.
