If my remarks turn out that I did do very badly, what should I do now?

I have always dreaded doing another year at my school, but if i must, i shall.
If I enter next year for University again, do i have to rewrite my statement? and do the whole application system again? Including Interviews?.
Should I apply for Cambridge?, which was something I thought about previously, but my school never told me anything about it so i couldn't (Deadlines and etc...if u were wondering).

If my remarks turn out that I did well, what should I do now?

If I get enough marks, should my universities (Imperial, UCL) still accept me?
Or
Should I go with my Option of just re-doing another year and make a new application?.
