Yes music is Mickey Mouse, even sociology is better .

It's fair and in my opinion music isn't rigorous.
Rigorous is very tough, very demanding, rigid and very challenging.

Well it's great to have an opinion but if all you're going to do is put it out there with your hands on your ears it just seems like you're a bit clueless.

You clearly don't understand what rigorous means. Rigour isn't necessarily tough or challenging. It's stupid to have an opinion that blatantly contradicts the definitions of the words it uses. I'm sorry but your opinion is rubbish.

Considering how poorly justified (and lacking in rigour) your statements have been I think you ought to worry about yourself before taking a stab at the academic achievements of others.
