whats your take on this, should people who have strong islamic links be banned from sitting on boards of schools or working in institutions with children?

Yes, I think that both extremist muslims as well as moderate muslims who do not speak out against islamic intolerance should be banned from sitting on boards of schools. I think moderate muslims who are capable of seeing beyond the confines of their religion are perfectly fine though. This applies to other religions as well - for whatever reason, extremism just seems to be less common in some of those.

Perhaps children should be bussed around as well to prevent them from spending most of their childhood isolated from other cultures.
I would have loved to have gone to a hardcore Muslim school

brb wearing my Keffiyeh erryday
brb "The j00z did it" as my answer to all exam questions
brb would not have had a pro-IRA assembly like I had to sit through at Catholic school (yeah...)
Aren't Jewish schools racist?Africans identity themselves as blacks, Caucasians as whites. Jews identity themselves as Jewish, and people who are part Jewish say they have Jewish ancestry. It has nothing to do with religion, Judadism and the Jews are completely racially driven as can be seen the fact that the Jews NEVER integrated with Europeans. Even today they remain segregated, which isn't racist because of the double standards they imposed on us. So when you have Jewish schools it's like saying no white people, no blacks allowed. . Just those of Jewish ancestry.
get rid of faith schools. period.

Good.

Hopefully they end up bulldozing them, and then move on to bulldozing all faith schools.
Dogma shouldn't be taught to kids as they have no critical thinking skills.

Instead faith should be age restricted like alcohol or sex or porn, since that way the believer would believe because they wanted to and not because they were brainwashed into believing it from a young age.

...this scandal doesn't involve faith schools. So, pray tell, how would bulldozing faith schools solve anything in this case? It just seems like a populist and unrelated idea that would not have prevented anything.

Of course, the PC brigade don't consider Islamic schools faith schools. I should have known. Thanks for correcting me.

I don't care what the PC brigade consider faith schools. I (nor anybody else) do not consider secular schools to be faith schools.
