What's Exeter's Placement Year like?

Firmed and basically met my offer for CS/Maths with Industrial Placement at Exeter and I've been wondering what that placement year is like? Only school I went to an open day for was Kent and they made their placement year sound incredible and really highlighted it especially the locations available.

I was wondering if Exeter's is limited to the UK? Or is something as crazy as a placement year in California or something feasible? Are anyone of you in one right now? Any info would be nice, thanks.

I believe you can do your placement anywhere. I am in Paris, doing mine right now. It's fantastic experience.
