How did everyone find this ?

I think it was a tricky paper, especially some probability questions. But the Distribution questions were quite straight forward.

What was the question again ? Was it the one where we had to find theta ? If I remember I got 0.02 or something similar.

I think it was simultaenous equations and just solving wasn't it.

Not sure if its right but i got 2.
when i added 0.1 + 0.2 +03 + 2 (0.4-2) = 1
I thought it was actually a really good paper.

For theta i got 0.25

What did everyone get for the question where you had to find n and p....i think i got n=9 and p=0.1 or something :s-smilie:

That's exactly what i got too :wink:
I got two results for theta, 0.75 and 0.25, I then said theta = -.75 because it satified my equation, how many marks will I lose for that?> Just 1?

Dice? The 8 thing one?

If i remember the question correctly, the answers i got were;

a) P(Equal) = 1/8
b) P(Sum of 12) = 5/64
c) P(Equal | Sum of 12) = 1/5

One question i had to completely redo at the end was the coin one, for some reason i only considered 2 fair dice and not 3!

I think i got, if i can remember the questions;

a) P(Head) = 5/8

b) i) P(Double Headed Coin | Head) = 2/5

ii) P(Head if selected dice rolled again) = 7/10

I got 0.25 as well! Good because that was worth about 8 marks or something ridiculous. Overall I thought it wasn't too difficult

I know, i normally take about 1 page per question and i ended up spilling over onto 2 pages for that question. It was certainly a long one.
