Should i pay to lose my virginity

Its a question I've been asking myself. I dont think im particularly bad looking however girls dont seem to be interested in me. I'm generally known as the nice guy who doesnt really have a problem with anyone. I'm nearly 19 so getting quite old to be a virgin I think and this means that the first time will becoming increasingly awkward as i get older.

So now I'm debating whether getting the first time out of the way with an escort will be good for me and give me more confidence or will it have the opposite effect. I know this needs to be answered by myself but I'm interested to see what others think.

You're only 18, and even if you are nearly 19, I don't think that's something to be embarrassed about. By all means do what you like, it is your life, after all, but I really think you should wait a bit longer. I just don't think it's worth it.

Don't do it...lots of people in their twenties are still virgins. It's way more common than people let on. It'll happen soon...focus on finding someone special (girlfriend or otherwise).

You think that being sexual with someone who's there just because you're paying them won't be awkward?

It depends on how well it goes.

If it goes well, then on the one hand, yipee, but on the other, you're not going to get to see them again without paying again. Ouch. Repeat until you have no money left or stop and 'miss out'?

If it doesn't go well - perhaps because you didn't get an erection in the time you paid for - then in addition to the 'argh' feelings, you've also got to get your head around the fact that you paid quite a lot for that experience.

If you do decide to do it, do some research first and see someone working independently, rather than using an agency or a brothel. Your chances of it going well will be improved. And then be prepared to keep this aspect a secret from everyone you know. The vast majority of them won't be impressed.
If you have to ask us to approve the idea then you obviously aren't truly committed to it. I think you know that the sensible course is to be patient and wait to have sex in the context of a relationship. No woman worth being with is going to mind if you're a virgin - sex isn't that difficult to get the hang of.

Plenty of people remain virgins into their twenties. Your first time should be meaningful or you'd only be left feeling bad about yourself. It'll happen soon.

Depends on your budget tbh a good time will cost £££££££... A lot, so if you don't have the money either have a **** first time or get some GAMEEE!
By all means do what you want but I think that you should wait until you find somebody that you are comfortable with, then it won't feel awkward?

You're not even 19 yet, don't worry about what other people think there's no shame in being a virgin that age. Now if you wake up one day at you're 25 and still a virgin, then if I were you I would think about getting an escort and get it over and done with. There's always the risk of catching something but you can say that about a woman you pick up in a club.
No dont do it. It isnt a competition and being a virgin at 19 or 29 isnt an issue. There is a lot of man talk BS bravado talked by men. No doubt you hear other guys boasting of their conquests? Truth is its probably all lies but even if it isnt ,so what? Be yourself.
I'm pretty sure a girl would be more put off by finding out you had sex with an escort than you being a virgin.
I'm talking as someone who was in your shoes only just several months ago. I'm 22 and I was a virgin to going through the same dilemma; should I get an escort or not.

It took me probably almost a whole year to weigh up the pro's and cons of getting an escort and rack up the courage to actually meet to see one. And its done the world of good, given me much more confidence, and most importantly I feel like I've lifted the huge weight of the V tag off my shoulders.

My advice for you would be to wait, 18 isn't too bad...but if you really can't, then I suggest you at least do your research first. There are sites that offer reviews (both positive and negative) of girls they have paid for sex. This helped me enormously and I found someone who took good care of me during the time, given the fact I was a nervous wreck at first.

But just because I had a positive experience, doesn't mean you will too...you may live to regret it and in turn it may have the counter- productive effect of leaving you feel low that you had to pay to have sex for the first time.

Either way you go, I hope you choose what you feel is right for you.
Can we clear up some myths here people? Proper escorts, women who work in the sex industry (and men but we aren't talking about them here) are not dirty. They are providing a professional service, one they take a lot of pride in and one they have a lot of experience in. You won't catch something because they rely on being clean for their business to work. Also you will get what you pay for. Remember that.

Anyway, it is up to you whether you pay for someones services or not. There is no shame in it at all (tough plenty of people will try to convince you there is) and you can lose your virginity to someone who will be totally focused on you being turned on, you do not need to worry about her having as much of a good time, they are not paid to that nor are they expecting it.

However if you are in two minds about it now you aren't that commited. Give it another year, work on your self confidence (looks mean nothing if you can't back them up with at least a sliver or personality) get to know friends of friends, widen your social circles, get more involved with local clubs or social media and someone will come along. You get out what you put in, people don't tend to just fall in your lap and offer you sex.

Good luck!
Don't do it. You'll be surprised by how many people in their twenties are still virgins. Example my flat of 10 girls this year at uni only 3 of us were not virgins.

I have a lot of friends who are virgins in their mid 20s. 24-26 isn't totally abnormal.

It's fine.

I can agree with most of your comment, but not this bit. Someone charging twice as much as someone else is not necessarily better, never mind twice as good.

A few years ago, there was an amazing trend for magazines like FHM to pay for one of their staff to see an escort in order to generate a story. Amusingly, the price went up each time, but they all went for agencies and all had a disappointing time. I would say those were linked.

Try this first, in a club go up to a random girl that you find attractive and start chatting to her and get her number. If it works great you get a confidence boost, if it doesn't who cares just keep trying

Well of course you are going to have the anomalies but if i was paying for a sex worker i would probable go for someone charging £70 - £100 an hour rather than £20.
