Tips for freshers

Thought I'd start a thread for all current students to give tips for all the freshers... there's just some stuff you never realise for a few weeks :wink:

* Prod your door open for the entire of freshers week. Someone is bound to come a-knocking. Usually your corridor rep :smile:

* The driers in the laundrettes will work with any amount of money. It's about 12 minutes for 20p, so that'll be 21 minutes for 30p, and so on. Just keep hitting the drier button. (I usually put 30p in there).
* Spend freshers week evenings socialing. You may not get the chance to when you have coursework deadlines looming :smile:

Don't go stressing over your first year. You only need to pass - nothing else matters, unless you need a certain mark for an intern job over the summer or something.

Second and third year are for stressing - first year is to settle in and meet a tonne of awesome people, get your budgeting sorted and learn you way around campus.
