Maths and Graphics

Hi there,

I am currently in year 12 going into year 13. I study maths and graphics and they are my most favorite subjects. I REALLY wish I could do a combined course but it seems not very possible.

What have others done in this situation? What other courses would combine both of these?

P.s hope exams went well!

There is a course that combines Maths and Graphics, but I'm not sure if it's in the sense that you're looking for. Quite a lot of computer science courses allow you to specialise in graphics (i.e. graphics processing techniques) so if you're really interested in mathematics and its application to digital graphics, that might be something of interest to you.

However, if you like graphics in the artistic sense, that might not be enough. There are a number of artists who use mathematics, self-made programs and custom algorithms to create their artwork. Again, quite a lot of these people come from a background in computer science, but some are pure artists too.

I don't think you're going to find a Maths and Graphics combined honours. So in your position, I'd either look into Computer Science or just take Maths or Graphics, and keep up the other as a hobby during your degree and see if you can combine them afterwards.
