Got offers from Aston, Warwick and Nottingham Trent for Microbiology and University of Birmingham for Biological Sciences
Have an interview with Wolverhampton but will most likely not go as I don't want to go there or have it as my insurance
UoB want AAB and that's my firm
May go for a risk and have Aston or Warwick as insurance as they both want ABB

Ok, so a lot has happened since my last post. (There's no way i'm getting into Oxford etc.) I'm applying this year with the premise that I will be rejected because of my grades. If I get better grades this year, I'll continue to aim for the American Unis and higher ranking unis I was originally aiming for.

Without further ado I'm applying to:

University of Nottingham - Electronic and Computer Science (AAA-ABB at AH)

University of Edinburgh - Computer Science and Electronics (typical offer: AAAA Highers)

Newcastle University - Electronic and Computer Engineering (AABBB at Higher/ AAB at AH)

Loughborough University - Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering (ABBBB at Higher/AB at AH)

Heriot Watt University - Electronics and Computing (BBBBC at Higher)

My Grades:
Standard Grade: 3 1s and 5 2s
Higher: ABBCC
Advanced Higher Prediction: AAA
Higher prediction: A

My Personal Statement won an award, very entrepreneurial and tons of involvement out of school.

Any thoughts?

Preferred choices for firm are either Queen Mary or Kent. Stuck between the two.

Predicted AAC (one bad Business grade because the teacher is **** and get barely any help) I'm also doing the Extended Project.

A friend didn't get any A*s at gcse.
She's predicted A*AAC for A-levs ; has quite good extra curricular involvements.
Would one say applying for say, econ & stats or econ with econometrics gives a higher chance as oppose to straight econ?

Sent away on the 10th December.

Offers received from Queens, Belfast - History and Politics (ABB); Glasgow History/Politics (AAB); and Dundee History and Politics, second year entry with a scholarship (ABB).

Still waiting for York, History and Politics (AAA) and St Andrews, International Relations and Modern History (AAA). I wish they would hurry up so I could firm my Dundee offer!
